Ragland, Alabama
Among the many unique buildings in downtown Ragland is the One-Eyed Opera Company owned by artist, Mary Sampson. Artwork decorates the outside of several older buildings including the original drugstore, Ragland Drug Company. Susie Campbell, Sharon Shaddix, and Harold Burnham are the artists responsible for hand-painting the beautiful floral scenes on the buildings. Ragland is located on the Coosa river and offers excellent fishing, swimming, boating and many other outdoor recreational opportunities.
