Doris Stanley Public Library

With over 17,000 books, newspaper and magazine archives and a large audio and video collection, the Doris Stanley Memorial Library in Moody is one of the finest in St Clair County. With the addition of new computers, we now offer internet access and a wide variety of computer programs for both children and adults.

Our staff includes Patsy Spradley as Library Director and Melissa Fraser, and Joy Morgan  as librarians. They are always happy to be of service.

We are located at 2900 Daniel Drive, Moody Alabama. Our hours are Monday - Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m., Thursdays 9:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m., Fridays 9:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. till noon. The Doris Stanley Memorial Library Board Members consist of Chairman, Joyce Logan, Kaye Willingham, Angie Isbell, and Marjorie Everidge.

Every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. during the school year the library is pleased to offer Tot Tales for children 2-5 years old. Each week, young children will be informed and entertained by an assortment of books. We also have special guest who occasionally drop by and read for us. The children also do crafts and a snack is provided. Join the group this week.

Computer classes are held each Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. for anyone interested. Pre-registration is required. Check with the library for the date of the next session.

Crafty Ladies meet each Friday at 10:00 a.m. Craft suggestions are encouraged.
